CIPS - CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF PURCHASING AND SUPPLY

The Educational Academy is delighted to announce their CIPS provision for Autumn 2012 following the successful completion of our Spring cohort.

Educational Academy is an approved centre for the provision of CIPS programmes. The rigorous inpection of Educational Academy provision by the CIPS Institutional audit team guarantees the quality of our provision and the quality of the training we provide.

Location: The Essex courses will be in Central Chelmsford and the Kent courses in Central Tonbridge. Further centres are planned in 2013

Dates: The courses will commence w/c 3rd September 2012

Unit Details

CIPS L4-01 Effective Negotiation in Purchasing and Supply

The unit gives information on the negotiation process in the public and private sector. It mainly demonstrates the value of collaborative working in intercompany relationships.

CIPS L4-02 Developing contracts in purchasing and supply

Contains statute and contacts law information and how they relate to the knowledge a buyer in the public and private sector should have to effectively manage contracts.

CIPS L4-03 Measuring Purchasing Performance

Looks at the internal and external performance measures necessary to enable good working practices both internally and between buyer and supplier.

CIPS L4-04 Managing Purchasing and Supply Relationship

Is concerned with utilising the Kraljic matrix in evaluating the appropriate relationship between buyer and seller.

CIPS L4-05 Purchasing Contexts

The integrated unit taking elements from the above four and putting them in real life contexts to examine the utilisation of the range of techniques in purchasing to solve problems and improve performance.
